Employee Rights – Failure to Pay for Off-the-Clock Hours
Matern Law Group wage and hour attorneys have helped many employees whose wage rights have been violated.
Under California law, employees must be paid for all time worked. This applies to work carried out by employees before or after a shift, or any work done “off-the-clock” and not included in the time records. When such work has been carried out, and the employer knows – or should know – about it, then wages should be paid for this work even though it may not have been specifically requested or authorized by the employer.
