Olivia Green

Olivia Green is a talented associate attorney at Matern Law Group. She represents individual clients in discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation cases. Additionally, she represents clients in wage and hour class action lawsuits. Olivia handles federal and state court cases, diligently seeing each claim through to the trial or settlement stage.

During her studies in law school, Olivia realized how pervasive and devastating unlawful employment practices could be, impacting every idustry. Her passion for employment law brought her to the Matern Law Group, where she started as a law clerk during law school. During that time, she experienced and was inspired by this firm’s work firsthand. The team brought her on as an associate attorney when she passed the bar exam in January 2021. Since then, she has served as a diligent and zealous advocate in the employment law division. She is an outstanding member of the firm, fighting for those disenfranchised by unlawful employment practices.

Olivia is a dedicated advocate for mistreated individuals subjected to unlawful workplace policies and practices. She believes everyone deserves to go to work, earn their paycheck, and go home, free from harassment. She genuinely enjoys helping others who are not in a position to advocate for themselves. Olivia understands that many people spend most of their days at work, whether in a remote or physical environment. She believes everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued at work and dedicates herself to helping discover and root out injustices by being the voice of the voiceless.

Throughout her years at the firm, she has argued many cases in federal and state court. Recently, she has successfully argued a number of motions that allowed her clients to press forward with important claims in court, and has negotiated several class action settlements which will result in payments of several thousand dollars per class members. She finds it extremely rewarding to help clients obtain favorable settlements compensating them for the unlawful practices to which they were subjected.  As an additional bonus, these settlements incentivize employers to create new policies so future employees will not suffer.

In her spare time, Olivia loves to hike and participate in exercise classes. She also considers herself a “foodie” and regularly spends her weekends having brunch and dinner at new and popular restaurants around Los Angeles. Olivia is an avid traveler and frequently takes weekend trips to new places around the country. She also tries to go to at least one international destination per year. Before going to law school, she was a dedicated ballet dancer from elementary school through high school.
