Mr. Virjee’s practice involves representing individuals in all aspects of employment litigation. He has handled wage and hour class actions involving claims relating to overtime, meal and rest breaks, misclassification, and improper wage statements. Mr. Virjee has also represented employees in single-plaintiff disputes involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

Mr. Virjee has years of experience at all stages of civil litigation including case investigations, discovery, law and motion practice, settlement negotiations, and final resolution.

Prior to joining Matern Law Group, PC from one of the region’s preeminent litigation boutique law firms, Mr. Virjee served as Law Clerk in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division. There, he represented the Federal Government in environmental litigation cases under the office of the Assistant U.S. Attorney General.

Mr. Virjee received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California and his Juris Doctor from American University Washington College of Law. While in at American University, Mr. Virjee served as a Dean’s Fellow and Editor-in-Chief of the Sustainable Development Law & Policy Law Journal. In addition, he lawyered as a Student Attorney in the WCL General Practice Clinic, providing pro bono legal services to underprivileged residents in the nation’s capital.
