Biography

Julia Wells is a senior associate attorney at Matern Law Group focused on plaintiff’s employment law. In her practice, Ms. Wells represents hardworking Californians who are being treated unfairly the workplace. Ms. Wells tirelessly advocates for her clients during all stages of litigation, from the initial intake interview through trial or settlement.

As a Wisconsin native, Ms. Wells had the privilege of working for both the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Wisconsin State Legislature during law school. Ms. Wells also assisted low-income individuals through various clinical programs while in law school, including the unemployment appeals clinic and the family court clinic.

Since being admitted to practice law in California, Ms. Wells has focused her work exclusively on representing plaintiffs (employees) in employment law cases. Ms. Wells is passionate about helping the community’s most vulnerable citizens vindicate their legal rights and pursue justice for themselves and others. In her spare time, Ms. Wells enjoys snowboarding, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and her rescue dog, Waffle.
