Court Approves $3,200,000 Settlement for Non-Exempt Restaurant Employees

Our Plaintiff filed a class and representative action lawsuit on behalf of more than 4,600 non-exempt employees who worked at Defendant’s 43 Carl’s Jr. locations across North and Central California. Plaintiff alleged that Defendant violated the California Labor Code by failure to provide compliant meal and rest breaks, pay all wages, and reimbursement business expenses, among other things. Matern Law Group obtained and analyzed critical timekeeping and payroll data which led to a $3,200,000 settlement that the court ultimately approved.
