Joshua D. Boxer, Senior Associate Attorney
Mr. Boxer has exclusively represented plaintiffs in workers’ rights and consumer class actions for over thirteen years. Mr. Boxer has extensive trial and appellate experience, and has appeared in state and federal courtrooms throughout the country.
In 2006, Mr. Boxer served as co-counsel in Valladares v Madera Quality Nut, a whistle-blower case resulting in a jury verdict of over $25 million, one of the top 100 Verdicts of 2006.
In 2007, Mr. Boxer served as lead trial counsel in Vandenberg v. Santa Clara County Fire Department, successfully vindicating the rights of the Department’s first female Fire Captain and winning over $400,000.
In 2013, Mr. Boxer argued an appeal in the Ninth Circuit resulting in a published opinion in which the court refused to enforce an arbitration agreement that precluded all rights to judicial review. In re Wal-Mart Wage & Hour Employment Practices Litig., 737 F.3d 1262 (9th Cir. 2013).
In 2013, Mr. Boxer was appointed Interim Co-Lead Counsel in MDL 2448: In re Anheuser-Busch Beer Labeling Litigation.
Mr. Boxer has been featured on CNBC’s Closing Bell, CNN’s Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, and countless media outlets, including Fox News, Reuters, Bloomberg’s Businessweek, NPR, Time, The San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Post, The Los Angeles Times, Sky News, the BBC and the Associated Press. Mr. Boxer has been interviewed by media outlets in six different countries, including a South Korean documentary about class action litigation.

Mr. Boxer is admitted practice in all California state courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Eastern Districts of California, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and Sixth Circuit Court of Appeal. He has been admitted pro hac vice in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, the Massachusetts Court of Appeals, and the Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri.

- Mr. Boxer was named a 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Rising Star by Super Lawyer Magazine, a designation awarded to the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40.
