Joyce Lee

Biography

Joyce P. Lee is as an associate attorney representing employees in all facets of employment law. Her practice encompasses wage and hour class and representative actions as well as individual cases involving harassment, discrimination, and unfair termination.

Joyce began her journey to plaintiff-side practice as a summer fellow with the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association. This fellowship inspired Joyce to pursue plaintiff-side practice where she then joined another plaintiff-side law firm and contributed to qui tam and employment cases. She also brings valuable experience from her time externing for Magistrate Judge Laurel Beeler in the Northern District of California. Joyce also participated in UC Law SF’s Mediation Clinic where she mediated cases in San Mateo County Small Claims Court, and successfully facilitated amicable resolutions.

Joyce’s journey to the legal profession was inspired by her community involvement. When conducting volunteer workshops about health insurance enrollment and community benefits, she encountered questions from participants that she could not answer. This fueled Joyce’s desire for knowledge and expertise, and law school offered the opportunity to make an impact in her community. Mentorship from older attorneys also encouraged Joyce to advocate passionately for her clients.

Joyce graduated as a member of the Pro Bono Society and holds the Wiley W. Manual Pro Bono Legal Services Certificate for her dedication to public service. She also served as a member of Hastings Law Journal for two years as a Staff Editor and a Senior Articles Editor. Her editorial contributions as a Senior Articles Editor for Hastings Law Journal underscore her commitment to legal scholarship.

Outside of work, Joyce enjoys playing volleyball with friends, exploring tea and boba shops, and baking. As an attorney, Joyce continues to advocate for the rights of employees, bringing both expertise and compassion to every case.
