Joyce also participated in UC Law SF’s Mediation Clinic where she mediated cases in San Mateo County Small Claims Court, and successfully facilitated amicable resolutions.

When conducting volunteer workshops about health insurance enrollment and community benefits, she encountered questions from participants that she could not answer. This fueled Joyce’s desire for knowledge and expertise, and law school offered the opportunity to make an impact in her community. Mentorship from older attorneys also encouraged Joyce to advocate passionately for her clients.

She also served as a member of Hastings Law Journal for two years as a Staff Editor and a Senior Articles Editor. Her editorial contributions as a Senior Articles Editor for Hastings Law Journal underscore her commitment to legal scholarship.
Outside of work, Joyce enjoys playing volleyball with friends, exploring tea and boba shops, and baking. As an attorney, Joyce continues to advocate for the rights of employees, bringing both expertise and compassion to every case.
