The Appellate Case

These multiple related appeals arose from two actions brought by comedy writers against their employers and union for claims emanating from their work on two television shows, Comics.Unleased and Comedy.TV. The district court dismissed all claims and MLG successfully appealed some of the claims. On remand, the district court against dismissed all claims except claims which it remanded to state court. MLG again successfully appealed in part, allowing plaintiffs to pursue certain claims in the district court.
